EURO SERIES BY NOVA RACE HEADS TO MISANO THIS WEEKEND FOR THE FIFTH AND PENULTIMATE ROUND OF THE SEASON
Euro Series by Nova Race is set for the last two rounds of the season at Misano and Mugello. The international championship organized by the Reggio Emilia-based promoter, after the first four rounds at Paul Ricard, Slovakiaring, Spielberg and Spa-Francorchamps, heads to Italy, in the same weekend of the Aci Sport series. This weekend (25-27 September), on the track entitled to Marco Simoncelli there will be a plenty of novelty.
In the ES standings Scandinavian crew Marko Helistekangas-Fredrik Blomstedt leads after having claimed a win in Austria with the Ginetta G50 racecar, as well as dominates the Under 25. German Oliver Freymouth leads the ES+ standing, as he won two races with the Renault Mégane Trophy lined up by the AKF Motorsport. After his debut in Belgium early this month, when he claimed a double pole and two victories with the ASC Bulavto Racing Lotus Evora, 17-year-old Bulgarian Pavel Lefterov looks for another brilliant result.
Spotlights also on the Maserati GT MCs lined up by Scuderia Giudici, looking forward to the 2016 programs. Claudio Giudice will drive one of the Trident brand car, while the other one will be shared by Briton Barrie James Baxter and youngster Alessandro Fogliani. Under the same banner, Gianni Giudici will race a Ginetta G50. There will also be two Ginetta G55s, one for the driver and Nova Race owner Luca Magnoni and the other for the Mark Speakerwas and Giampiero Cristoni duo.
After the fifth place of Spa, the other Bulgarian Ivo Tzonev will drive a Ginetta G50. Same car – with the new paddle-shift system – for Tiziano Frazza. A similar one will be available for Manuel Lasagni, who won Race 2 at Le Castellet. Stefano Stefanelli and Luca Lorenzini will make their comeback on a Ginetta G50. Last but not least Roberto Gentili, who will drive another English car.
The first out of 50-minute races will be raced on Saturday night at 9.20pm (live coverage in Italy on Sportitalia, as well as in web streaming). Race 2 will start on Sunday at 3.40pm with the re-live on Sportitalia channel at 10pm. The two 15-minute qualifying sessions will be held on Saturday since 11.45am. Free practice are scheduled on Friday.
