NOVA RACE'S GINETTAS CLAIM DOUBLE WIN AT MUGELLO IN THE LAST ROUND OF THE ITALIAN GT
Reggio Emilia, October 9th 2017. Team Nova Race had a great season finale in the seventh and last round of the Italian GT Championship at Mugello. The Emilia-based squad, making its comeback to the series after missing the previous round at Vallelunga, put the Ginetta G55 GT4 cars on P1 in both the races with Mark Speakerwas and Luca Magnoni.
They claimed a double victory as Speakerwas finished seventh overall in the Saturday's race and Magnoni fourth. The latter secured the eight overall place on Sunday, emerging from a 17-car grid, whilst Speakerwas - who also claimed a double pole position with Magnoni twice second in the qualifying - finishing third.
Magnoni was also one of the GT3 class front runners, sealing the last victory of the season with the Audi R8 LMS ultra he shared with Luca Rangoni and finishing eight overall. The duo claimed in Race 1 the second place in the same class as well as the ninth overall position.
In the same weekend, team Nova Race hit the track at Adria in the Fun Cup European semi final. Eventually the crew formed by Alberto Bergamaschi, Stefano Caprotti, Andrea Marchesini and Roberto Nale, finished 19th and took the podium of the Veterans.
