DOUBLE ITALIAN GT AND SEAT LEON CUP EFFORT FOR TEAM NOVA RACE AT MISANO
Reggio Emilia, June 1st 2017. Team Nova Race is set for a double exciting effort, as the Italian series resume this coming weekend at Misano.
The Emilia-based squad will contest the Italian GT round three and four entering two Ginetta G55 GT4s. After Gianluca Carboni and Giampiero Cristoni pair head a 1-2 at the Imola's opening event, ahead of their team mate Luca Magnoni, the first aims to defend his championship lead sharing the wheel with Philippe Salini, an experienced French driver who already showed well with Nova Race team in the endurance races. Magnoni - who is just one point behind Carboni - will try to claim his first victory, following the third and second position he scored in the inaugural races, also considering the new BoP reduced of 20 kilos the British cars' wheigt.
A great challenge is also awaited in the Seat Leon Cup Italia. Following a triumphal debut at Adria, as Gabriele Torelli and Matteo Greco - the latter now leader among Junior drivers - finished first and second, the Nova Race duo leads the overall standings, whilst their team mate Alberto Biraghi is actually third.
The first of the two 48-minute plus one lap races of Italian GT takes place on Saturday at 7.25 pm after the qualifying session. Race 2 gets underway on Sunday at 1.50 pm. Live streaming at www.acisport.it/CIGT
Race one of Seat Leon Cup Italia is scheduled on Saturday at 9.20 pm, after the qualifying session. Race 2 will be held on Sunday at 4.55 pm.
